We Have a Crush on BlueNile

We admit it. Any online jeweler or web-based jewelry store who says they don’t like BlueNile is just jealous (or lying).  We know we can’t compete. We don’t want to.  AND we love what they do (and have done) for the jewelry industry.  

For instance, they commissioned a Harris Interactive study that showed Valentine’s Day jewlery gifts are still desirable.  We read the press release on marketwatch.  More importantly, they gave a voice to consumers like you and reiterated what we have been saying in our messaging as well: 

Jewlery shopping can really stink!  

A key fact from the survey:  ”61% would be more inclined to purchase jewelry if the overall experience was better.”  Here’s what respondents say is needed:

  • Knowing you’re getting a good value (29%), 
  • Having confidence in the quality of the product (23%), 
  • Access to more education (19%), and 
  • Working with a good salesperson (17%) – aka not a pushy snob

Amen to that!  Thanks BlueNile.com.  (Wink, wink!)
